Donate to the Illinois Hospice and Palliative Care Organization

In 1980, a small group of hospice workers gathered together in the living room of a suburban Chicago home to discuss issues arising about hospice care. They shared their expertise with one another, each member having been trained in different schools of thought and specialties.  The Illinois Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (IL-HPCO) was born out of this exchange of ideas, and today, IL-HPCO is the state’s professional organization which is committed to promoting palliative and enhancing end-of-life care in the state of Illinois, through education, advocacy, technical and supportive services. Our mission is to expand access to exceptional hospice and palliative care for patients and families coping with the close of life experience.
